"There are no PSX/PS2/ROM Images"

Postby yournamehere004 » Sun Jul 08, 2012 12:23 am

Long time mmcm enthusiast, 1st time poster.

ok, so i have a CECHA 60gb FAT (upgraded to 1tb), cobra updated to 5.0, and current mmcm 4.04.03. I have the PSXISO, PS2ISO and PSPISO folders in dev_hdd0 as well as on the root of my 2tb external. I have most my psx/ps2/psp games on the internal and they show up when i press refresh and show the covers nicely on the xmmb. but as soon as i press square to "group roms by emulator" all the covers disappear and change back to all black discs for psx or all blue disc icons for PS2.

At the top of the retro list above the net hosts, it shows i can browse my external and shows my psxiso ps2iso pspiso folders as well as folders for the emu roms on the external. the games are shown correctly and with covers. but when i try to browse the ps3 internal, i just get a slashed circle icon that says "There are no PSX/PS2/ROM images" anyone know how i can remedy this?

I will try to replicate your situation later and see if I get same results.

Otherwise you may have to post this in the mmCM bugs section so it is seen , or maybe S4BRE can let them know.

I will post back later.

Ok I loaded up cobra dongle. mmCM 4.04.03 and went to Retro column.

Hit [] Square to group roms by emulators. Keep Pressing Square through all the emulators.Everything is fine for me, although I only have PSX and PSP.

I load my SNES, FCEU etc through XMB, not mmCM and I didn't have any PS2 games loaded on Internal as I gave up on that.

So if PS2 is the only difference of roms for me and you, I can try and put some in there and test it again later.

how about when you go to "browse ps3 internal hdd" in the retro column? it should show the 3 folders regardless if theres anything in there right? i have roms for all 3 on my internal but it says "no psx/ps2/rom images". however, on my external, theres only psx and ps2 roms....no psp, but all 3 folders show up. the psx and ps2 show their contents correctly and the psp says no images (since there are none).

basically, my issue is the browsing internal hdd icon. it says nothings there.

ps - i also play my emu roms from the main xmb, but mmcm still scans the folders and finds all 23gb of roms and puts them all in one list when i hit refresh. unfortunately as i said before, hitting refresh is the only way i can see any covers. after i hit square, all the covers vanish.

I actually have no roms stored on hdd0, but I would guess that you ignore the Browse PS3 Internal Hdd as well as PS3 external, because I can keep hitting square to show me different emulators and it does then show me my games, but if I click on my USB drive to browse under retro or other emulator tabs, there is nothing.
I get the same as you on internal - There are no PSX/PS2/ROM images" but I don't have any either.

I am really not sure why those are both there. You can repost your first message under mmCM bugs and see if anything results from that I guess.
