After it flashes green. Turn it off manually and then turn on again and you should be in Factory mode.

Also did you try reinstalling CFW in Recovery mode or not?
If we all are here to help others , then what exactly are others here for?

Ok just to verify Safe Mode

Activating Safe Mode

Step 1: Turn off the PLAYSTATION 3 by holding the Power button on the front of the unit till the Power light is red.

Step 2:
1.Touch and hold the Power button, you will hear the first beep, meaning the PLAYSTATION 3 is powering on.
2.Continue to hold the Power button and after about 5 seconds, you will hear a second beep, indicating the video reset.
3.Continue to hold the Power button and after about another 5 seconds you will hear a third beep and the system will power off (Power light is red).

Step 3:
1.Touch and hold the Power button, you will hear the first beep, again for the PLAYSTATION 3 to power on.
2.Continue to hold the Power button and after about 5 seconds, you will hear a second beep for video reset.
3.Continue to hold the Power button and after about another 5 seconds you will hear a quick double beep. At that point release the Power button. If you succeeded in activating Safe Mode, you will see a message on the screen saying, "Connect the controller using a USB cable and then press the PS button."

So you did this and still nothing. I would try unplugging your PS3 for about 15-30 minutes.

If this doesn't work, do you have another hdd you can try. If no, and your not worried about a backup, you could do this.

Remove the hard drive, connect it to your computer. Quick format as NTFS. Put the harddrive back in the PS3, and start up normally. The PS3 should format the drive, and you're done!

Ok sounds good. Let us know how it goes.

What has happened is your stuck in the 'Wave loading Screen' so it should work.

Are you able to hold down the power button and get too recovery mode, and also have the OFW 3.55 firmware on a USB

Also try re-inserting the hdd.

you don't just turn it off...

Step 1: Turn off your Playstation 3.

Step 2: Hold the Power button down. The system will turn on and turn off once again.

Step 3: Once the system has been shutdown, Re-press and hold you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps.

Step 4: When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button. You will be promted to plug in your controller via usb and then press the PS button. The Recovery Menu will pop up.
