Here ya go. All credits to bfoos.

Code: Select all
http://www.mediafire.com/?fc1vubhewc0ubi8

patched cdrom0:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF and cdrom0:/SYSTE1.CNF;1

So Happy testing all. Let me know results here, so I can let bfoos know, or he may check this thread as well. :D

Hello jmjohnson85,

System - CECHA 60GB BC FAT PS3 NTSC [4 USB, Full Hardware Emulation].
Firmware - Rebug 3.55.2

I am planing to get CobraUSB dongle. I have few question in mind. My priority is that I would like to run codebreaker with my PS2 backups. And I want to run my PS2 backups from HDD. I don't want to burn as a disc.

Could you please advice how I should proceed. What are the files and homebrew apps that I need? It will be awesome if you could provide the steps.

Thank you.

Steps for you will be as follows:
* Install CobraUSB CFW (or bitsbubba NFW) - do some research on this first since I don't know exactly what steps to follow for Rebug->Cobra
* Install latest mmCM
* Rebuild any PS2 games you want to use Codebreaker with (I will be posting the tutorial on this shortly, but might take a little bit longer since I have to test the new CB.ELF I just got from windrider/bfoos :D)
* Transfer rebuilt PS2 ISO's to the internal PS2 HDD into the PS2ISO folder via FTP (currently PS2 backups only play from internal)
* You will find your PS2 games in the "Retro" section in mmCM so choose your game and launch it from XMB
* Codebreaker will launch allowing you to add/choose your codes (any newly added codes will be saved to a memory card so make sure you have one assigned)
* After choosing your codes press Start and choose start game as you normally would

Upon testing it I just got a red screen (which I believe means CB can't find the ELF file it's looking for) for both cdrom0:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF and cdrom0:/SYSTE1.CNF. I did notice however that it still boots mc0:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF. I wonder if it needs to be cdfs:/ instead of cdrom0:/

Edit:
Or maybe just omit the path altogether since CB.ELF is running from the root of the CDVD anyways (no real need for cdrom0:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF if it will actually run the ELF referenced from SYSTE1.CNF).

Well still no go - red screen again for both. It's not really worth continuing to bother bfoos over though since I can have it working this way: CB->uLE(mc0)->uLE(cdfs)->SLUS_xxx.xx

It's kindof redundant and yeah it sucks that you have to store uLE on the mc but it works.

Well maybe with Ps3 this is all we can expect. I am sure Bfoos is watching this thread, and he has done all he can. :D

So maybe you have to be happy with what you can do with it for now.
