PSX backups not working

I have a cobra dongle at v5 with mmCM 4.2.0 and i have placed the bin/cue in the psxiso folder but when i go to retro part of the menu it says that there are no rom images. i have checked and the cue file is as follows.

FILE "THPS1.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

What am i doing wrong? thanks for your answers

Have you refreshed the list?
I would try re-ripping it.

well, i cant re-rip it since my original is busted. but it works fine on my pc emu. idk why it doesnt work on the ps3. and the instructions on the manual are outdated.

you may need to change the display options of the retro column, psx isos arnt roms.

i have mine like this

Tony Hawk's Skateboarding [PAL].bin
Tony Hawk's Skateboarding [PAL].cue

FILE "Tony Hawk's Skateboarding [PAL].bin" BINARY

make sure as alienkid said, refresh the list also just so u know the name in the cue file is not important for example if i renamed mine to

FILE "THPS1.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

and left the bin file named Tony Hawk's Skateboarding [PAL].bin it would still load up just so u know hope that helped.

iso's are roms. CD-ROM (Read Only Memory)

They are literally roms, optical roms, not chip based roms, but roms nonetheless.
