Well since the leak of the lv0 keys apparently there's not much Sony can do about new cfw's.
Just look at what's been going on the last week with first 4.21 and then 4.30 cfw from Rogero and E3.
Hopefully it's all true what the devs say that there's no way Sony can make the ps3 secure anymore but we'll have to wait and see.
As for homebrew, I guess it's all up to whomever's up to the task to create it

I don't know if someone will think about releasing CFW for not mandatory version of OFW. Accordind to sONy it's recomended for ppl with Monster Hunter HDD. I hope there is no hidden ban system in new softs. Me wanna play online

Excuse me if I am wrong but this is probably not that necessary for homebrew users and most DLC and all 4.21/4.25 compatible games for a while to come. Just a proxy program to spoof 4.30/4.31 should be good enough until then shouldn't it? The point of this comment is to spare people without an E3, etc. from unnecessary downgrades/upgrades to avoid possible bricks -- not to put down the work put into this great release which shows how quickly the scene is now progressing after such a long time being stuck on 3.55 CFW. I'm so glad that I'm able to finally use Netflix on my PS3 for the first time since I bought it!

I think they could make a huge hardware changes for the ps3 created after Rogero cfw, then may be but just may be their hope will rise.
But the ps4 is comming soon so I think this is their last hope, I also belive that they have to give up on ps3 (they said they still have plans for ps3 before but now look like they plans is saying good by ^^)
