i just want to confirm that your downgrade worked perfectly for my friends ps3, but not mine. when i go to system update then storage media, then ill find the downgrade and will ask me if i would like to continue.
theres the problem : when i click on continue, it switches to another scene where it says something like u can upgrade to 3.66 or higher only, currently I'm on 4.00 and when i bought my 320 gb fat ps3, the system was already on 3.66.
so my question is, how do we patch that, or just skip that screen, could you help me with your FANTASTIC downgrade please, just a little more and ill be the first ever PERFECT one !!!

Hello,

please don't confuse things guys, the CFW is meant to be used for downgrading with a hardware flasher that can read/write the NOR/Nand chip of the PS3, you can't downgrade without a Flasher like ProgSkeet, Infectus, Teensy++ etc....
After reading the NOR image and patching it with Dospiedra's downgrade patches, you flash back the patched NOR then you enter Factory Service Mode and downgrade using my CFW to have a 3.55 jailbreaked PS3 again.

Cheers

I am just about to downgrade using this firmware and a progskeet.
Quick question though, what needs to be connected to the ps3?
I assume the disk (and I also assume it will be formatted), but what about the blu-ray player?
As the ps3 is now, it's kind of difficult to get the player connected, since it's upside down with a load of fragile wires everywhere and whatnot.

BTW, thanks for your awesome work.

I did a downgrade on a PS3 Slim, using V3 Rogero, left the ps3 without the BD drive, when he finished the downgrade, I turned on the PS3, but with blue screen, this: http://i52.tinypic.com/2uqhkrr.jpg , with CFW Rogero V2 reinstalled by recovery menu, the ps3 returned normal.

Once again Rogero V3 installed at recovery menu, and it worked.

Anyone had this problem when downgrading, CFW Rogero V3 with not using a BD drive?

Thanks

the CFW have the NoBD patch so you can flash it from FactoryServiceMode while downgrading without the Blu-Ray drive connected, because like you mentioned it's simpler to work without the drive connected.

Hello,
I had reports about this problem which is a Registry problem, I'll have to do some tests so I can fix this and update the CFW again.
meanwhile you can downgrade with V2 then install V3 on top to have the latest spoof applied.

Cheers.

Thanks for the reply Rogero, I did another downgrade and gave the same blue screen problem, I'll do another today, but with the BD drive, and see what happens later put the result.
(Sorry my english )
Thanks for the great support and CFW!
