Rogero CEX-4.30 v1.04 / multiMAN ver 04.11.11 / Showtime 04.01.208

I am currently stuck on Rogero CFW 4.30 v.1.00 any attempt I have made to upgrade to v.1.01, 1.02, 1.03 and 1.04 has failed with the error message of "the data is corrupted (8002f2c5)"

After reading several messages about this issue I must presume that, for some strange reasons, it is not possible to upgrade from one CFW 4.30 to another CFW 4.30. I would also like to upgrade from 1.03 to 1.04 without having to downgrade my never-dowgraded-before PS3 with all the risks involved and I hope one day Rogero will be able to fix this issue.

is it possible to downgrade it without a hardware flasher

have anyone test to make an installation from Rogero CFW 4.30 v1.00 to Rogero CFW 4.30 v1.04 ???

I didnt know that I had to downgrade to 3.55 to upgrade from cfw rogero 4.30 v1.00 to cfw rogero 4.30 v1.4. If so no I didnt try that yet.

Maybe its just me:


- Now put "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP" ---> Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7.PUP
- Start the PS3 into Recovery Menu and install "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" (from Recovery Menu, this is important)
- Once you're back on Rogero CFW3.55 v3.7 Start the PS3 into Recovery Menu and install any CFW 3.55/4.21/4.30.

---- If you are on any CFW newer then 3.55, Downgrade back to Rogero CEX3.55 v3.7 using the guide above.
---- Once on Rogero CEX3.55 v3.7, start the PS3 into Recovery Menu and Install (original) OFW3.55.
( This step may not be needed for all consoles but better do it )
---- Once on (original) OFW3.55, start the PS3 into Recovery Menu again and update into CFW4.30 v1.04.


The guide above doenst state anything about OFW 3.55..

I know that you have addressed this issue thru the last two releases of this CFW, I must be that 1 %.

Did You deshed Your PS3 after downgrade ? Used QA? Checked if QA working?

1-intal toogle_qa
2-run toogle_qa and make sure its working
3-recovery menu
4-update to 4.30 v1.04

Hi all,
This is my experience of downgrade and install CFW 4.30 v1.04

Console: CECHG04 FAT 60go
Firmware : CFW 4.30 v1.03

Want install CFW 4.30 v1.04
1 - Install downgrade of "rogero" throught xmb > ok 'i have the hybride firmware now"
2 - Start on recovery mode and try install ROGERO V3.55 v3.7 > No possible "put firmware later than 4.40" ???
3 - Start the console an try to install ROGERO V3.55 v3.7 through xmb > Return error not remenber....
4 - Try to réinstall CFW 4.30 V1.03 through recovery mode or xmb > return error....
I'm blocked
5 - Install through recovery mode firmware "downgrade 9.99 of REBUG" > ok
6 - Install package 2.00.00.pgk and active option QA FLAG
7 - Install on recovery mode directly OFW 3.55 > Ok whoooaaaa....
8 - Install on recovery mode CFW 4.30 v1.04 > ok

Now all is ok, thanks REBUG and ROGERO for your work .....
