I have a PS3:

I have actuall CFW 3.55 Kmeaw, I want to Rogero CEX 4.30 how can I install it. Please step by step.

Step1. Read Page 1 of this thread for install guide.
Step 2. Follow instruction from Page 1

Done. :)

Cmon guys, is it really that hard to just read some instructions that are in plain sight?

The amount of comments that I've seen from people who just havent read the instructions or who are looking for a guarantee that nothing is going to go wrong is just staggering.

Face the fact that your messing with Firmware here and hacked firmware at that. No matter what anyone tells you there is always a chance that something can go wrong.

If you want a guarantee then buy a flasher!!

Yet another installation report:

Model Number:
CECH-2503B (320GB)

Original Firmware:
3.55OFW

Lowest Possible Firmware:
3.50OFW

Firmware Installed BEFORE the Firmware Upgrade:
3.55CFW KMEAW

Console QA Flag Status:
Enabled since the Rollback Brick Fix/Syscon Hash Reset phase/CEX-DEX conversion period - checked QA Flag status during every firmware change sans the 4.30 update and it was still enabled.

Firmware Before Installation:
3.55CFW KMEAW (CEX)

Firmware After Installation:
4.30CFW RogerO (CEX)

Highest CFW Firmware Used:
4.30CFW RogerO (CEX)

Firmware Changes Made on my PS3:
3.55CFW KMEAW CEX > 4.30CFW RogerO (CEX) (via Recovery Mode (MANUAL METHOD)) > Hybrid 4.25 to 3.55 CFW (CEX) (via XMB) > 3.55CFW RogerO v3.7 (CEX) (via Recovery Mode (MANUAL METHOD) - prompted me to install "firmware with version 4.40 or later" - but continued anyway) > 3.55CFW KMEAW (CEX) (via Recovery Mode (MANUAL METHOD)) > 4.30CFW RogerO (CEX) (via Recovery Mode (MANUAL METHOD) - I've also deleted the ToggleQA, EID RootKey Dumper and MemDump applications now, so I WILL NEED TO REINSTALL TOGGLEQA IF I NEED TO ROLL BACK!)

Additional Installation Actions Taken/Additional Notes:
- I DIDN'T uninstall multiMAN when prompted as I managed to change firmware versions successfully.
- I DIDN'T install the official 3.55 firmware PUP when some of the more paranoid (can't blame them) users did this.
- I was fortunate enough to have ToggleQA installed since the CEX-DEX conversion phase, so I didn't need to install it again at the time, but now that is not the case, so I WILL need to reinstall it later on.
- I also tested the 3.55 rollback method, and I've managed to do this successfully, although I was told to "install firmware version 4.40 or later" - just press the START+SELECT buttons, hold them down, and continue.
- PLEASE NOTE THAT on the non-KMEAW/official firmware PUPs, YOU WILL NOT get a chance to see the EULA in Recovery Mode, SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOT THE RIGHT FIRMWARE PUP TO HAND BEFORE INSTALLING.

Special thanks go to RogerO, DeanK, The Three Musketeers, Andoma, E3 and everyone else who I forgot to mention for resurrecting the scene from a comatose state! :P

Oh, and I'm off to bed now - au revoir! :P

So has there been a way to fix the * cannot use while in demonstration mode* glitch? this is getting so annoying and i don't want to risk downgrading just to update again? any info other then what i have already read would be nice.

European version, Serbia:

CECH2504, date code 0C.

Wasnt sure about was it downgraded before.

I was on patched 3.55 KMEAW.
1. I "dehashed" PS3, followe instructions, all went good.
2. Boot manually in Recovery, and install clear 3.55 KMEAW from Rogeros link.
3. Once restarted, just to be sure all OK.
3. Boot manually in Revocery, and install Rogero v3.7
4. Once restarted, just to be sure all OK.
5. Boot manually in Recovery, and update to 4.30 CFW. All went OK.
6. Once restarted just to be sure all OK:
7. Installed MultiMan 8.1
8. Installed Media.
9. Go in PS3ROOT and install .zip (i used old link)
10. Check System Info, says 4.30 ....

All went OK, thanks very much wor this, Rogero...

First game tried, PES2013, i enabled Internet, found update 1.01 and did it, and started OK from APP, discless.
Second game tried, GT5 Academy, found Update 2.08, updated sucess, started ....

Thanks everyone .....

:D I've updated from Rogero 3.6 and it's working great. I've only tested Metal Gear HD Collection and it works, Thanks.

And a question about SEN or PSN. is it safe to login or can we login without proxy with this cfw?

Again i say, Some XMB categories had to be used like this by using Hybrid files from different FW versions, that's why we have the Icons sorting/categories issue and the PS home in Demo Mode
or else the XMB wouldn't be stable like it is now, believe me many long hours have been spent testing things in order to bring it out to this stage.

Now, for those who can't wait for a better fix for the PS Home issue, here's a workaround that was packaged and tested by TechnoDon to make use of PS home again
I didn't want to post it as is because with more time I can probably make a better fix out of it, but here it is anyway:

CECH-2002B

Kmeaw-->QA Toggle-->Rogero 4.30 via recovery.
All working fine.

Words cannot express the depth of my gratitude,
so the thumbs up button will have to do.
