Yes it is. it seems to copy the downgrade from USB to the system, restart and then say it's corrupt. I just double checked and all the other FW's fail at the 4.40 screen but the downgrade goes a bit further... then fails.

Hmmm..... I'm stumped. So you put the 4.25 downgrade firm on, install that to 100%, power down, pull USB out, delete downgrade firm from there, replace with 3.55 cfw, replace USB, power on to recovery mode and plug in controller and it says data corrupt? Every step there fullfilled?

What happens if you turn it on after the downgrade install and boot regular? NOT to recovery mode?

Downgrade update on USB and in either slot one or two.
Power on the PS3
It says to connect controller with USB
Then it looks for and finds the downgrade update
The counter goes to 100% and the screen goes blank (restarting? I don't touch anything)
When it comes back on it says to connect the controller wirelessly.
As soon as I click the PS button it will be a few seconds and the data corrupt message comes on and it says to press the circle.

And that's as far as it will go.

Downgrade update on USB and in either slot one or two.
Power on the PS3
It says to connect controller with USB
Then it looks for and finds the downgrade update
The counter goes to 100% and the screen goes blank (restarting? I don't touch anything)
When it comes back on it says to connect the controller wirelessly.
As soon as I click the PS button it will be a few seconds and the data corrupt message comes on and it says to press the circle.

And that's as far as it will go.

When it comes back on, you should have switched the downgrade update with the 3.55 cfw on your USB by then.

Before installation, disabled 4.25 spoofer by SGK, copied back original CA27.cer then I installed Rogero's 4.21CFW to PS3 Through Recovery Mode
CFW Works normally i think. PSN, PShome all works for now.
Important: Backuped my NOR Flash dump to 2 flash drives for safety of my PS3

and now, I got questions about new CFW's on 4.21 that will be in future, we must first to downgrade to 3.55 to install new versions of CFW 4.21, or we can install them over CFW 4.21?
and question about downgrade, did you tested that downgrade method on your ps3 and how it was? dumb question for real but if you can answer, answer please

I had another usb drive with 3.55 cfw on, I've tried swapping them quickly, switching it off after the 100%.

No one knows about updates as yet. So just sit tight until there is one, and we will have instructions on how too update. Glad the installation went well for you.

Do it again , and don't press the PS button and see if any one message or something happens. I always have my Controller connected already in first port. USB drive in right port.
