Rogero CEX-4.21 CFW v1.09 Free for All

i went from 3.55 cobra 2 3.55 ofw 2 3.55 kmeaw 2 4.21 rogero without cobra inserted and console has never been downgraded i bought it new with 3.40 firmware installed from walmart and i got a brick after install was complete i dont have a flasher but if i get one will i be able to unbrick without having a backup or can i get a backup with the console being bricked
console is a NTSC CECH2501A

I have same PS3.. I never bricked. I don't believe its the consoles. Sorry its just my opinion. I just referred to a list of downgraders , that could probably unbrick you. I don't know for sure though.

ill buy an e3 flasher right now but i dont want to spend over $100 not knowing if it will fix it or not

For those experiencing bricks, how many of you have had a downgrade done from 3.56+ back to 3.55? If what I just saw was true then you need to rehash before trying to install this. That would explain the bricks. Look at the OP and you will see what I am talking about.

If you didn't see it there or it wasn't there before then now you know why we have been telling everyone to have a little patience

Also dragen may I ask why you are telling people this? Did you brick or did some credible source tell you this because I am pretty sure some of the people that have flashed this are on 2500 consoles.

Mine is bricked, and I have a 25. I have seen a few of bricked ones on other forums, and they mostly 25s. Also, I did what many others have done and succeeded, but mine bricked. And no, I've never downgraded.

And no, I can't access Recovery.

What CFW or OFW were you on when you tried to update to 4.21 CFW?

Like I've said multiple times now, 3.55 kmeaw. And it's a 2504A.

Can someone help me out? I managed to install the CFW from kmeaw and installed the latest multiman, but now when i load it says "Multiman cannot enable BD-emulator", reading the thread someone had this problem and the response was to "remove hermes BDEmu".

Here's the deal, i dont know if i was using that, i've used that last multiman for months and it always worked, this new one i dont know what to do, only thing i can find from googling it's to install bdemu.pkg/bdemu2.pkg that isn't in the Multiman 4.07.01 pack. It's that what i have to do? Thanks in advance.

What does QA flag set on does? Also how do we back up nor/nand using multiman? I have a CECH-2501A, so if I don't do the QA flag set on and just use recovery menu to recover to 3.55 kmeaw cfw, then recovery menu to do 4.21 rogero that should be fine right?

did you install Rogero CFW 4.21 ?

Just set BD emulator to standard in Multiman
Then reboot.

- Downgrading back to 3.55 is always possible using the following steps :
- Download the 4.25 downgrader PUP ---> 4.25 Downgrader Size 176MB (184,595,263 bytes) MD5: 49d80e07fc1f5ca1b0840e02e94635db
- Rename the downloaded file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" and put it on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP"
- While on Rogero CFW4.21, go to System Update from XMB and install the 4.25 downgrader CFW.
- Once installed, now put "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP" ---> Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7.PUP
- Start the PS3 into Recovery Menu (or use Condor Updater for Slim consoles) and install "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" (from Recovery Menu, this is important)
- Once the install is finished, you're now back on Rogero CFW3.55 v3.7 ( from here it's better to dehash again before installing any other OFW/CFW 3.55 )

Woah thank you all guys for the fast response! Im an idiot, like i said i never messed with the latest multiman and the whole lot of options it has now!

Playing fine now that i switched to STANDARD.

Using a PS3 Slim, CECH 2001B, updated to Rogero 4.21 from Kmeaw 3.55 in the XMB, no problems at all!
