hi,

i just tried to install Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.6 from usb from recovery, but it says my system is up to date.

I have rogero 3.1 spoof 3.70i think. (i didn't install it on my system, and the person who did it, cant or wont say wich cfw he put).

How can i update my ps3, or which other rogero firmware can i use?

Thanks

Was your PS3 downgraded? You have to make sure that it was dehashed first, before installing another CFW.
Thats strange why the person won't or can't say what firmware he put on.

If it wasn't downgraded, and /or if it it was and dehashed, then try the following.

Try installing 3.55 OFW in XMB. Then try installing the Rogero 3.6..

Ok I'm completely puzzled over here. I thought I installed the latest rogero cfw 3.55 v3.6 (cex) which should spoof firmware 4.25, but after installing my ps3 is now telling me it is on 3.72!
What's worse is that it seems to be OFW. I tripple checked the md5 has on the update pup. I'm 99.99% sure I'm now stuck on OFW, but does anyone have an idea on how this is possible? During installation of the firmware I had my official Assasin's Creed platinum edition in the disc drive, does that one contain 3.72 by any chance? Or is it possible for other games to put firmware updates on my harddrive?

I'm clueless.

If your qa flagged, you should never have a disc in the drive. It will install the firmware from the disc first, not the USB.

As I said to someone else, you can try and update again through recovery with a disc in drive that contains a lower firmware. Or you will have to get it downgraded.

Hey Rogero, I've installed Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.6 and I'm not able to play my backups. I've tried using Multiman and even Rogero 8.4 and I get this error message: An Error occurred during the start operation (80010017)......so I tried playing Battlefield 3 (I Have the BD) and it doesn't let me play my owned copies of PS3 games. So check this out, I tried mw3 and bf3 and no luck but then I put in mw2 and I was able to play it. So I went back into Multiman and now I cant play none of my backups...do i need to patch my backups again (if so I'll do that). Now my problem is that how come I cant play Mw3 If I'm trying to play it without using a backup manager? I own a copy of mw3..also I'm trying to downgrade to OFW 3.55 but it says there is no Firmware On Usb.....this is where I put the OFW.....(Root/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP) anyway I could start fresh with OFW 3.55?

I'm sorry to hear this but I can assure you the problem is not the CFW, while updating it will show you the CFW version as : "3.55-CEX-Rogero v3.7A"

Please check the MD5 of the file you used for update, maybe you mixed up with the file you used on your USB,
also did you have any original Disc in the PS3 while updating, because it will use the Disc Update and not the USB Update.

I have the CFW on my own PS3 and I used it to go online too.

Cheers
